[KeyStoneChapter] I Remembered: Keystone Chapter Meeting Recap

Hey there, Keystone Chapter Members and Friends,

It was a very warm day on Saturday for our June Keystone Chapter 
meeting! The members and guests in person at the Penn Museum enjoyed 
doughnuts from Dunkin and cornbread made by Kyla! We listened to 
Presidential Release #550 [1] from President Mark Riccobono. The chapter 
voted on sending $425 to our State Affiliate to contribute to what the 
affiliate sent to the NFB for our National Convention. The chapter's 
contribution represents 10% of what the affiliate sent to National.

Lisa shared the sad news that Harriet's father had passed away. Services 
will be on Monday, June 30, at 10:00 AM at Bethany Evangelical 
Presbyterian Church, 5 N. Concord Ave., Havertown, PA, 19083. Please 
keep Harriet and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

After the meeting, five of us braved the heat and walked to New Deck 
Tavern for lunch.

Affiliate Update

As the affiliate's first vice president, I provided an update on the 
current state of affairs statewide. I gave an overview of our upcoming 
National Convention in New Orleans, July 8-13 [2]. Our affiliate will 
caucus on Thursday, July 10 at 5:00 PM in Studio 4. I discussed the 
National Association of Blind Students Mid-Atlantic Student Seminar, [3] 
taking place from August 1 to 3 at the Hampton Inn in Center City. Our 
affiliate is assisting NABS with the seminar. I also mentioned that our 
State Convention will be coming to Harrisburg from November 13-16. And, 
I almost forgot to mention the Scholarship Raffle tickets. Thanks to 
Lisa for reminding me! I am out of tickets at this time, but may have 
some at our August meeting. If you have unsold tickets, please bring 
them to the August chapter meeting on August 9. If you have sold 
tickets, please bring the stubs and money for them to that meeting.
