Hi everyone!
The Keystone Chapter of the NFB of PA is holding a Philly Fun Walk as part of our NFB Coast to Coast Movement Challenge!

we’re asking for your support; Not just for me, but for the thousands of blind people whose lives are changed through the work of the National Federation of the Blind.

You can help cultivate respect and opportunity for blind people by contributing so we can distribute free white canes, teach kids to read Braille, advocate for educational opportunities, provide employment resources and more. Please help us reach our goal of $250. Also, thanks to a matching gift from HumanWare, contributions will be doubled up to $50,000.

To sponsor the Keystone Chapter, Please go to https://nfb.org/contribute/c2c/ and enter “NFB of PA Keystone Chapter” in the notes field. We encourage a donation of $20 to support this cause, but we are grateful for any amount.

You can also donate via phone by calling 410-659-9314, extension 2430.

And if you are able to join us for the Philly Fun Walk, we would love to have you! (See the details below.)

Thank you very much for your support.

Gratefully,
Harriet

Here are the details . On August 8, 2026, at 12:30 p.m., members of the Keystone chapter will participate in a Philly Fun Walk! The walk will start from the historic University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology at 3260 South Street. Then we will head over to Cira Green, which is a beautiful rooftop green space in the heart of the city of brotherly love. This park is located at 129 S. 30th street and overlooks the mighty Schuylkill River. But to get to the park, we will walk up 12 flights of stairs up to the roof of the Cira Tower. Once we reach the roof, we will walk several laps around the entire one acre Cira Green park. In total we will be walking two miles!
