Hi everyone!
Hello from the lone star state! Several of us from the chapter are here in lively Austin, Tx participating in our NFB annual national convention! It's been a great convention so far, lots of interesting sessions, meeting new people, motivating speakers, fancy new technology exhibits, very nice hotel, so much great food, and working together for the rights of the blind! To hear all about the convention week, come to our next chapter meeting this Saturday, July 11, 2026! The meeting will be held using a hybrid model, with an in-person and a virtual option. The meeting will begin at 10:15 a.m. Please see below for the directions to the Penn Museum and the Zoom link for the meeting.

Other items on the agenda besides the recap of national convention in Austin, include the Philadelphia Marathon; our chapter’s Summer outing at Cira Green; our Philly Fun Walk coming up on August 8, and our PA state convention in November.

After the meeting everyone is invited to come to lunch with us! We will be going to Founding Fathers Sports Bar and Grill.

Travel to the Penn Museum via SEPTA
Our meeting location is the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, otherwise known as the Penn Museum. The museum is located at 3260 South Street in Philadelphia. It is accessible by SEPTA. The Penn Medicine Station is directly across the street from the museum and the following regional rail lines stop there, Airport Line, Manayunk/Norristown Line, Media/Elwyn Line, Warminster Line, West Trenton Line, and Wilmington/Newark Line. The following bus routes stop within a few blocks of the museum, 30, 40, 42, and 49. The following trolley lines stop near the museum, 11, 13, 34, and 36. The Market-Frankford line is also an option.
