We are elated to announce that The Blind Social Club is partnering with The Wilma Theater for this FREE unique, creative, and interactive event. Get ready to use your imagination, learn some acting tools from professional actors, and have a day full of laughter and creativity.. Please see the details below. 

“Outside the Box: Improv, Theater Games and Storytelling with the Wilma Theater.” 




This interactive session will explore creative play using three acting tools: our bodies, voices and imaginations. We will play games, tell stories and invent creative characters using theater techniques used by actors at the Wilma Theater. No theater experience is necessary–all that you need to bring is a spirit of playful curiosity.







By the end of this session you will:
   
   -    
Experience storytelling activities in small and large groups

   -    
Explore creating short scenes and ideas for character using your imagination and some simple, guided improv techniques

   -    
Meet new people and explore creative play together







Date: Thursday, July 16 from 11:00am - 3:00pm

Location: Tech OWL - 1392 Cecil B. Moore Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19122

Cost: FREE, including lunch from Honeygrow





RSVP by Friday, July 3 at 5:00pm 




Schedule for the day: 

10:00am - Doors open  

11:00am - 1:00pm - Wilma Theater session begins 

1:00pm - 3:00pm - Lunch - menu will be sent later in a separate email to those who RSVP
