Hey there, PA Federation Family,

I'm going to GPC's Boldly, Blind Cabaret- are you? Reach out to any
Greater Philly member to pay up, and I'll see you there!

Federation Focus [1] is on for the week of October 12, 2026!

We need your help for Philadelphia Marathon Weekend! Volunteers are
needed November 20-22 at the Convention Center and along the race
routes. We're also making a final push to recruit runners for Team NFB
Dreamers.

This week, I've got five NFBofPA meetings to share, including the
DeafBlind Division, Guide Dog Users, Convention Planning, Greater Berks
Chapter, and Blind Parents Division.

🍫 Our 2026 State Convention is almost here! Join us November 5-8 at
Hershey Lodge for technology demonstrations featuring smart glasses and
AI, Federation Feud, our annual auction, student activities, and much
more.

I'll also share highlights from the Greater Lehigh Valley Chapter's
recent fundraiser, convention travel tips, and ways to stay connected
with NFBofPA.

Let's build the National Federation of the Blind of Pennsylvania!

Last Call for Philadelphia Marathon Bibs

For the first time, the NFB is a Silver charity partner of the
Philadelphia Marathon, with marathon, half-marathon, and 8K races. Join
Team NFB Dreamers and run in support of the NFB. To get involved,
contact Rachel Held at rheld at nfb.org or 410-659-9314, ext. 2423. Last
day to register with Rachel is October 16, 2026.

Marathon Volunteers Needed

We need volunteers for our table in the convention center on Friday,
November 20, from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and Saturday, November 21, from
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Shift times will be about three hours. We also need
volueers for all three races. We will have a specific area along the
race routes to cheer runners on. Races are Sagurday and Sunday. We have
not been assigned our location yet. If you can help, email David at
vp1 at nfbofpa.org.
