Hi All,

Maria Morais, Coordinator of Unified English Braille (UEB) workshops and the National Certification in Unified English Braille (NCUEB) exam, asked me to gauge interest in the possibility of a UEB workshop and/or NCUEB exam prior to the start of the National Federation of the Blind of Louisiana's state convention. The workshop would review essential contractions and rules changes and provide specific examples and practice opportunities. It would be held from 1:00-4:00 Friday afternoon, April 15 at the Crowne Plaza in Baton Rouge-the site of the convention. There would be a minimal cost to cover the cost of materials production and meeting space (e.g., $25 or thereabouts).

A decision in this regard will need to be made rather quickly in order to ensure availability of materials and seating. Please email Maria at Braille at NBPCB.org<mailto:Braille at NBPCB.org> as soon as possible so that a final decision can be made as to whether or not workshop plans should move forward.

Hope to see each of you in Baton Rouge for the convention and accompanying workshops and trainings! Braille Rocks!
