The TLC chapter of the NFB of Maryland will be conducting its August meeting on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 7:00 PM. We meet at the Image Center in Towson on 300 East Joppa Road, Suite 312.
All members of Maryland chapters are invited to come and learn about the visual interpreter service AIRA, which will be showcased. Come see and experience the AIRA smart Glasses which will include a live session with an AIRA agent. You can read about AIRA on their website at: http://www.aira.io.
Also during the August meeting, we will be learning how a blind person can take part in the solar eclipse experience on August 21, 2017. I will be bringing free copies of the tactile book developed by NASA entitled, "Getting the Feel for Eclipses" to distribute.
Please let me know if you are planning to attend by sending an email to swhite at nfb.org<mailto:swhite at nfb.org>, so I can have enough materials on hand for everyone.
Let me know if you have questions.
Hope to see you there!
Scott White, President
TLC Chapter
