Hello All!
Many thanks to everyone who wrote to the chairman of the Early Childhood
and Special Education Subcommittee Chairman, Eric Ebersole and to the
Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee Delegate Vanessa Atterbeary.
Unfortunately, nothing has happened yet and the clock is ticking! This time
please write or call the members of the Subcommittee and ask them to talk
to Delegate Ebersole about the importance of HB547, the Accountability Act
for Accessible K-12 Education. Blind and disabled students have been
waiting for 2 years for this legislation to be enacted. It is time for the
House of Delegates to take action!

If you live in Baltimore City write or call Delegate Chanel Branch.

Blind students need a quality education now! Let's make it happen!
Thanks.

The National Federation of the Blind of Maryland knows that blindness is
not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Everyday we raise
the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
