Did you register for the Friends Annual Meeting yet? It is on October 26,<br>
from 9:30am to 12:30pm. You may attend virtually or in-person. You will<br>
have the chance to meet the new state librarian, learn about what Friends<br>
has been up to in the past year, and enjoy two keynote speakers. Our<br>
speakers will be Cindy Freeland, a children's author of books about the<br>
Chesapeake Bay, and Eric Thomas, a syndicated advice columnist to the<br>
Baltimore Sun, Washington Post, and several others. If you join in-person,<br>
we will have lunch. There will be door prizes and so much more!<br>

You must register by either writing an email to <a href="mailto:reference.desk@maryland.gov" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer">reference.desk@maryland.gov</a><br>
or calling 410-230-2443. We are extending the registration deadline until<br>
close of business Monday, October 21. You must register in order to receive<br>
lunch OR to get the Zoom link if you are joining virtually.<br>
