Are their stipulations concerning recording the classes? My goal is to get my General Education courses out of the way, and then major in Public Policy. No, there is no restriction on recording classes that I'm aware of. You have a little more leverage if you have recording classes on your accomidations sheet. Most proffs I've come across don't have one opinion one way or the other. It helps to have the recorder near the front, especially in a bigger classroom. The one draw back is when I record, sometimes I get lazy about taking notes during class. *g* hth. When I went to college, it was customary to ask the professor for permission to record. I don't know if anything in law or custom has changed that practice. Recording is a great way to make sure you don't miss anything, but when you get 14 weeks into a semester and realize that your test is going to happen in 10 days, you will find that listening to all of that material takes just as long the second time unless you have some way of marking relevant information. If you use one of the book reading devices that does recording, most contain the ability to place a mark at a point you consider important. If you are recording, this mark will have to come after the remark you want to put into your notes. If you are playing the recordings, of course, you can go back and put the mark wherever you wish. Congratulations on your new adventure. -----Original Message----- From: Mabs [mailto:mabs-bounces at nfbnet.org] On Behalf Of McMahon, Cory J Sent: Monday, December 17, 2012 11:38 PM To: Undisclosed-Recipient:; Subject: [Mabs] Recording college classes Dear all, I'm in the process of applying to college (with plans to attend in the Fall of 2013), and have a quick question.
