Its also quite possible the person was asymptamatic before and during
the holiday party, and would have even tested negative with a rapid
test or even PCR.

I remember when I got Covid at New Orelans I was negative on rapid at
11:00pm with symptoms and positive on rapid by 7:00 am the next day.
Also I was negative PCR on the day before departure from New Orleans.

So its a wild wild world out there.
