As a member of the NFB of Massachusetts, I am pleased to see so much excitement in our affiliate about the activities relating to Commissioner D’Arcangelo. That isn’t a stance on him from me, but I like to see people excited about something.

Particularly, it makes me think about how we could mobilize our affiliate to take care of things that are on our own agenda, like creating a right to parent for disabled people in Massachusetts. For anyone who wasn’t at our state convention in March, we talked about the two attached bills, which are state-level bills that will create a right to parent for disabled people in Massachusetts.

We’ll be working with our state legislature to try to pass these bills. I hope each and every one of us will get excited about this initiative, too.
