Good morning everyone.
First, if you have not already, please fill out these surveys from nagdu.
https://nfb.org/rideshare
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeaP43Jv5nEEfuu-FfF5EooPxyUerQmreg9ciJlxrut8fB0uQ/viewform?pli=1
Once you have reported your service animal denial to Uber or Lyft,
please file a complaint with the Department of Justice. Here is the link.
https://civilrights.justice.gov/report/
Once you file a complaint, you should receive a confirmation email.
Please forward that email to legal at nfb.org. If you do not receive an
email, send them the confirmation number of your complaint.
I know that this is a lot of work for us to do. Try to do all of it. If
you don't have the time and/or energy, go through as many steps as you
can for each denial. You are not expected to be a perfect service animal
denial reporter. Personally, I struggle to even report my denials to
Uber and Lyft because it is so exhausting and seems pointless at times.
But we can all strive to complete these steps and pray that something
changes.
A blessed Feast of the Dormition/assumption for all celebrating.
