Christopher Suplice, the amazing treasurer for Massabs, is hosting an
event about accessibility. This event is not just for blind students.

Echobatix presence Tech Talk Social. This will be Echobatix’s first
in-person meet up for the blind and visually impaired community. All
members and allies of the blind and visually impaired community are
welcome.
Topics that will be covered during the meet up include the following,
but are not limited to;
* Echobatix Background
* Accessibility
* Student life and accessibility in college
* Board game accessibility
* Accessibility in shopping, travel, job hunting, and more
* Touch screen accessibility
* Current assistive tech
* New and wanted assistive tech

Our Tech Talk Social will be held on July 21st from 1 to 3 p.m.
*Location*
Snell Library room 117 at Northeastern University.
360 Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02115
For those traveling via public transportation you may use the Orange
line or the E line of the Green line.
Below you will find some more detailed directions for walking depending
on the train route you take.
>From Ruggles Station upper busway.
* Exit through the entrance on the left of the turnstiles.
* Walk straight on Forsyth Street for less than a minute.
* Turn right after passing the first building on your right. There is
also a water fountain to the right that would indicate when to turn.
* Walk straight on that path until you reach the building right
across. The building that’s in front of you is Snell Library.
* Go up the stairs.
* After entering the building, go straight until reaching the opposite
side of the lobby.
* Then turn right.
* Walk till the end of the hall way.
* Turn right. Room 117 will be on your right.
* You’ve arrived.
>From The Northeastern University stop on the Green Line
* Cross the street (left side of the track if coming from symphony
stop, right side of the track if coming from MFA stop)
* Turn left on Forsyth Street toward Ruggles station.
* Stay on the left side of the street.
* Walk past two alley ways on your left.
* Turn left on the third alley/pathway. There is also a water fountain
that would indicate when to turn.
* Walk straight on that path until you reach the building right across.
* The building that’s in front of you is Snell Library.
* Go up the stairs.
* After entering the building, go straight until reaching the opposite
side of the lobby.
* Then turn right.
* Walk till the end of the hall way.
* Turn right. Room 117 will be on your right.
* You’ve arrived.
The Echobatix meet up will consist of a structured portion of the
agenda, some time to mingle, a few minutes to test out some assistive
tech, and some refreshments time.
