> Vinod indicated that he plans to attend the national convention, and would like a roommate. You can contact him by emailing chawlavk at hotmail.com or calling him at 617-599-8886. He was OK with having his contact info in the minutes.
> Cullen reminded everyone that pre-registration closes May 31. The price is discounted when you pre-register. For those who cannot attend, there is also a virtual experience. This option is free.
> Tonight's meeting was virtual for a few reasons. Justin sprained his ankle and was unable to walk, and Stephanie was planning to run for vice president but was ill. We did not think it was fair to hold the election without her. We were also not 100% sure that we had the equipment for running a hybrid meeting. Cullen thought he might be able to do it, but there was not a lot of time to test everything.
> Next month, Justin will not be able to attend in person. However, Cullen will have enough time to set up his equipment for the hybrid meeting. Cullen and/or Shara will be able to run the election for Vice President, and Justin should be able to run the rest of it remotely.
> Stephen Yerardi is interested in joining the chapter, and he introduced himself. Cullen moved that we welcome Stephen as a new member into the chapter, the motion was seconded and passed unanimously. Welcome, Stephen!
> Shirley and ElizabethAnn are looking at fundraisers and selling our T-shirts. They hope to set up tables at upcoming events. The national office is sending Shirley pamphlets for everyone to learn more about the federation. She is also working on getting a tablecloth with our logo.
> Debbie said that we are also exploring selling the shirts online.
> Justin will send out another Google Sheet for those who want to bring snacks. Shirley volunteered to check the room over after the meeting to ensure that everything has been cleaned up and nothing has been left behind. Of course, it is important that everyone helps keep the space clean.

Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.

Well actually, this will actually be in reference to next meeting on June 12, it was not mentioned but I am guessing we’re meeting at the senior center and it did not say the time is that 6 o’clock usually considering that’s when we had the meeting for this last meeting?
Very much looking forward to attending the meeting in person.
Hope everyone has a great memorial weekend,.
