Good morning students.

I hope you are enjoying your day off and taking the time to commemorate
the great work of Martin Luther King Jr. I hope his methods and message
inspire you to fight for the civil rights of Blind Americans.

Here are some important announcements.

1. Students attending state convention are eligible for free rooms
provided that they agree to share with other students. If you are
interested, please contact Shara immediately. Her email is
sharawinton at gmail.com

2. During state convention, students will be eating lunch inside the
hotel. Lunch will be provided. More details coming soon.

3. Students attending state convention who are either scholarship
applicants or receiving a free room are expected to attend all the
sessions. This includes the Thursday night virtual sessions, especially
the student business meeting, banquet, and Sunday morning general session.

4. Right now, fewer than normal state scholarship applications have been
submitted. We want you to apply! Don't miss this opportunity for some
money! If you have won in the past, apply again. If you are new to the
state, apply. We love getting to know our applicants. Here is the link
to apply.

5. If you are a dues paying member, it is time to pay your dues for
2024. Right now, your membership status is in a grace period. If you
fail to pay your dues by the end of the month, your status will change
to inactive. Please submit your $10 dues to the affiliate. Here is the
donation link. Be sure to write in the note that it is for student dues.

If you wish to run for a position in March, or vote during our business
meeting, you must be a dues paying member.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

We hope to see you at our state convention. Here is the information page.
