We are beginning to schedule volunteers for Independence Market
demonstrators, storekeepers, line marshals, and cashiers at the NFB 2025
National Convention. Each demonstrator will ideally work a four-hour
(morning or afternoon) and a two-hour (lunch) shift. This is a total of only
six hours. There are, of course, other duties to be fulfilled in the market.
Shift times for storekeepers and cashiers are a little longer than those of
demonstrators. Storekeeper shifts overlap to allow for incoming volunteers
to get up to speed. Cashier shifts are extended to accommodate the count-out
procedure at the end of each shift.

If you would like to volunteer for this service, please let me know by May
5th. The National office is asking me to recommend all of you who are
considering this important work. Thank you.

Warmly,

Shara Winton

President, National federation of the Blind of Massachusetts
