I did this a week ago. I think Uber will withdraw from the RIDE flex and pilot on demand if this law passes. You should think and make your own decisions, but definitely follow through.

Subject: Two days left - Help protect paratransit rides on Uber
Rashad,
My
name is Tracy and I work with Uber's Driver Engagement and Public Policy Teams. I'm reaching out because proposed changes from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) could impact your paratransit options and the programs you rely on.
The
FTA proposed an update to its policies on December 30 which would significantly change the requirements for Uber to work with Transit agencies. If this happens, you would see a noticeable reduction in service and could
lose
access to the
reliable transportation you count on through Uber’s partnership with your transit agency.
We
must take action to protect transit rides.
There
are only TWO DAYS LEFT until the public comment window closes. Please
go to the <https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2024/12/30/2024-30966/notice-of-proposed-policy-statement-regarding-the-applicability-of-ftas-drug-and-alcohol-testing> FTA
<https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2024/12/30/2024-30966/notice-of-proposed-policy-statement-regarding-the-applicability-of-ftas-drug-and-alcohol-testing> public comment page and
urge the FTA to reconsider proposed changes
that could result in discontinued transit rides.
Every
comment counts in the fight to keep accessible, reliable transportation available for all.
Don’t
know what to say? View other public comments <https://www.regulations.gov/docket/FTA-2024-0020/comments> HERE.
You are also welcome to sign a petition, asking the FTA to reconsider <https://p2a.co/lTnFI0F> HERE.
Sincerely,
~
The Uber Transit Team
