Good morning, I have registered for the virtual attendance for the convention.

And I will be emailing out our representatives and senators either later today or tomorrow for the support for our legislation.

Hope everyone is having a great Monday and staying cool.

Regards,

Stephen Yerardi

Thanks so much, Shara! Also, if anyone would like assistance figuring out who their federal and state legislators are, please email me privately at kyra.sweeney94 at gmail.com <mailto:kyra.sweeney94 at gmail.com> with your address. (Please do not send this to the list!) Please note that both United State Senators Warren and Markey represent the entire Commonwealth, so be sure to contact both of them.

Hi NFB Family,

Our National convention is only three weeks away!! I believe this might be one of the most significant conventions in our history in terms of mobilizing the collective action that is required of us. If you are not coming in person, you can attend virtually and I urge you to do so.

If you are not able to attend this year’s national convention in New Orleans , you won’t want to miss the virtual Experience. You can still register. Registration remains open and there will be over forty hours of content. <https://nfb.org/get-involved/national-convention/national-convention-virtual-experience> Share the NFB25 Virtual Experience.

Please share this with everyone and encourage everyone to attend as much of our convention, as possible.

In addition, we currently have four bills that have been introduced in the 119th Congress—three in the House of Representatives and one in the Senate. They are:

In the House of Representatives:

Blind Americans Return to Work Act – H.R. 1175

Access Technology Affordability Act – H.R. 1529

Websites and Software Applications Accessibility Act – H.R. 3417

In the Senate:

Access Technology Affordability Act – S. 1918

Please call or email your members of the House and Senate and urge them to cosponsor our legislation. We would love to have a surge of cosponsor support heading into our national convention and the second half of the year!

Thank you for your work to build our movement in a difficult time in American history.

With Love, Hope and Determination,

Shara Winton
