[Massachusetts-NFB] September Meeting Notes

Hi Everyone,

Here are the September parent division notes.

September Parent Division Notes:

 

The parent division meeting was called to ordered on September 11 at 6:09
P.M. The people who were in attendance were Ellen Bartelt, Youm Wen Ly, Hai
Wen Ly, and Stephanie Valdes. Stephanie resighted the NFB pledge.

 

Secretary's report:

The secretary report was voted on and approved, with spelling corrections.

 

Treasury report:

 

Stephanie received a $40 check which was placed into the account. Ellen is
learning how to use the drive for the next report.

 

Secretary/treasury duties: The duties were read for this role. Members were
able to ask and answer questions about the roles.

 

Meet the Blind Month:

Members cane up with ideas for Meet the Blind month. A talking library was
discussed later in the year. Next October we could plan to do a corn maze in
the Boston area. Planning should start taking place next February. The plan
is to have events for families across the state.

 

Outreach:

Youm has been reaching out to people on the nonmembers to see if they want
to become members. She will be reaching out throughout the rest of the year.

 

Meeting ending:

The meeting ended at 6:50 P.M.
