Hi Stephen,
That's great that You got to Attend as well.
That does sound like useful information that you got the Opportunity to have breakfast with the Women from the Quincy Lion's Club.
We all can work together and I still plan attending.
Adam

Hello following up, today I went to the Quincy Lion’s Club pancake and ice screening event.
I meant the president of the club. She informed me that the meeting on November 5, is an informational gathering meeting, where they will be discussing how it will go forward, that this will be its own club, and she is a sponsoring Lions.
She seemed very receptive and open, she also is a mother to the student at Perkins who is graduating this coming June.
There will be another meeting to actually formalize meeting a charter.
I will definitely be able to give a summary after it cause I’m going to attend it.
I mentioned to her that I served on my local club from 2014 to 2017, and also was a board member for the Peterborough Lions Club, and she said wow maybe you should be a board member of this new club lol I thought.
Adam, that’s good that you would hopefully go, and also I think you said you would attend Alumni events.
Christina, I think you said you had to work. That’s OK, I will as I said, give a summary and report after the meeting.
Work does come first. And obviously the meeting will probably be in the evenings I would think that’s typically Lion’s Club do them once a month, in the evenings. To accommodate for working schedules.
Hope everyone’s having a great Sunday.
Regards,

>>> Good afternoon all, as a subject line says, I am wanting to give you all a follow up from a alumni fall event that I attended a few hours ago.
>>> Add this event Pat McCall, deputy head of education and programs, revealed that Perkins is now partnering with Lion’s Club, there is a current student that is from the Quincy area, and the mom had reached out and asked about is there anything that Perkins could do with Lion’s Club.
>>> There is also a member of the association who has been a long standing advocate for all Lion’s Club and The Blind. Shirley and I were discussing on a phone call earlier, and I forget the gentleman‘s name, but maybe Shirley will comment on this.
>>> There is an upcoming meeting on November 5, 2025 at 12:30 on the grounds of Perkins School For The Blind 175 North Beacon St., How building and in the Dwight hall that will be with representatives and leadership from the Quincy Lion’s Club.

>>> So they’ll be doing in person meetings, and Pat also mentioned that there could be some Zoom components. Just figured I would send this along, considering at both the Cambridge chapter meeting, and the board meeting there was discussion about Lion’s Club and about how they were not doing too well with blind people joining the clubs. I think this might be a step in the right direction with this partnership.
