[Massachusetts-NFB] FW: Starting a North Shore chapter

Salem, Gloucester, Lynn, Beverly, Peabody and anyone nearby who wants in, this is your chance to help start a North Shore Chapter of the NFB of Massachusetts.

Interest Meeting Details:

Thursday, April 30  6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

Peabody Institute Library (Main Branch) tech lab: 82 Main St, Peabody, MA 01960

At this meeting, we’ll:

*	Start with a short mingling activity to get to know each other and break the ice 
*	Elect officers to officially get the chapter started 
*	Begin drafting a constitution to submit to the state board 
*	Talk about the vision for the chapter; what we want it to be, how we want it to run, and where future meetings should happen 

If you’re on the North Shore or just want to support building this from the ground up, come be part of it at the beginning. This is your chance to help shape what it becomes.

  If anyone experiences travel anxiety or would feel more comfortable attending with a travel buddy, please reach out to me so we can see how we might coordinate. I really want everyone to feel welcome and able to participate. If the chapter moves forward, I’d also love to create a “travel buddy of the month” system so members can volunteer to support others getting to meetings confidently.
