[Massachusetts-NFB] Birding with birder Jerry Barrier at the Birdability Bird-a-thon on May 3rd

Hi NFB Family and Friends, 

Below is a  message from our local blind birder, Jerry Barrier. I plan to
attend this event. We would love to have more blind birders there.

Hi all,

 

Along with members of the Brookline Bird Club, Mass Audubon staff, and my
co-leader Michealle Larkins, I will participate in a Blind Birder
Bird-a-Thon event at Boston Nature Center on May 3 from 9:00 AM until
approximately 11:00 AM. (Please plan to arrive between 8:30 and 9:00.)

 

We have lots of commitments from sighted volunteers, so now we need to get
some blind folks to attend.

No birding experience is needed, and this is not a competitive event.

 

The event is free of charge for you and anyone you want to bring with you.

Please register for the bird-a-thon at

All blind and low vision registrants will be eligible for random prize
drawings which will occur on June 2 at 7:00 PM at our post-event Zoom
meeting.

 

Also, please email me to confirm that you plan to attend the event at the
Boston Nature Center, which is located at 500 Walk Hill St, Mattapan, MA
02126.
