Upcoming Meeting for Reaching Families of Blind Children:


>From Cassie McKinney, president of the National Organization of Parents of
Blind Children (NOPBC): 

I am reaching out to you, as leaders across our nation, to help us reach
families and children who need our support. As members of the National
Federation of the Blind, we have a strong foundation in an organization that
believes in and supports the dreams and abilities of blind people; however,
there are families who are new to our movement or who might have just found
us, and they need a network of people who truly care about them and their
children.

As president of the NOPBC, I want to welcome you to a Zoom meeting on
Monday, August 10, at 8:00 p.m., Eastern, as we talk about the role that you
all have in helping us reach, support, and nurture these families across the
country. Join us as we have a time for Q&A and to talk about real issues in
building parent involvement, as well as strategies to help build up the
future blind leaders in our movement. Information on how to join the meeting
is below. I hope that you will be able to join us as we work together to
build the National Federation of the Blind, one family at a time.
