[Massachusetts-NFB] elephants and lunch on August 29th

The elephants await your arrival. Come and walk amongst the herd, feel their majesty and peacefulness. Listen to the birdsong in the trees and be part of their ancient world. Stand with the matriarchs, touch their immense forms and be touched by them. The planet is our home, and theirs. The herd is here to share their story of coexistence; that there is room for all of us on this planet. We hope this exhibition reminds us of the awe we feel when in the company of wild, free animals and inspires us to better share our world with them.

It is “a monumental, cinematic and moving work of performance art.” 

I visited yesterday and was truly awed by the beautiful and intricate artwork. It is such a special exhibit, and I would love for many of us to experience it together! 

If you would like to join us as an NFB group, please meet us for lunch at Stephanie’s on Newbury. They offer a wonderful variety of dishes and a wide range of prices, so there should be something for everyone. I’ve included the menu link and address below.

🎨 Not joining us for lunch? No problem! Please plan to meet us outside the restaurant around 2:00 p.m. If you plan to meet us there, please let us know so we can make sure we don’t leave anyone behind.

I am also working on securing a few sighted guides to help make the experience as enjoyable and accessible as possible for everyone. If you have someone you can bring as your own sighted guide, especially if you would benefit from having one, that would be very helpful. I’ll provide an update on volunteers later in the week.

I truly hope to see many of you there! 💙 We’re going to make this a wonderful day filled with art, friendship, laughter, and time together.
