Dear Cambridge Chapter Members,

I hope everyone is doing well and enjoyed the long weekend, including Valentine’s Day!

I would like to take a moment to acknowledge our February 9th meeting. Even though it was held via Zoom due to the extreme cold, it was truly a fantastic and engaging gathering. We were honored to have Joe LeMar join us from Achilles International adaptive sports. His presentation sparked great conversation and enthusiasm, and it was wonderful to see so many members actively participating.

My sincere apologies for not sharing this sooner, but if you are interested in getting involved or learning more about their incredible programs, you may contact Joe directly at:at

I am personally very excited to get involved, and I encourage all of you to consider exploring this opportunity as well!

As we move forward, I am especially looking forward to seeing everyone back together in person at our next meeting on Monday, March 9th. Being together in the same room strengthens our connection, builds our chapter’s energy, and reminds us of the power of our community and our shared mission through the National Federation of the Blind. Your presence truly makes a difference, and I hope you will make every effort to attend.

Wishing everyone a wonderful rest of the month. I look forward to seeing you all soon!

Warm regards,
Shirley Dorris
