Subject: 📢📣 Your Voice Matters: Help Shape Voting in Massachusetts 🧑
Happy Day!
Save the Date! Accessible Voting Equipment Vendor Fairs Are Coming This August
The Massachusetts Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth is inviting blind, low vision, and voters with all disabilities to participate in a series of Accessible Voting Equipment Vendor Fairs taking place across Massachusetts this August.
This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of accessible voting in our state.
Massachusetts is beginning the process of selecting the next generation of accessible voting equipment. Before any decisions are made, election officials want to hear directly from the people who rely on these systems to cast a private, independent, and accessible ballot. Your experience and perspective can help ensure that future voting technology better meets the needs of blind and low vision voters.
At each fair, voting equipment vendors will demonstrate their accessible systems, answer questions, and invite participants to test the equipment firsthand. Your feedback will play an important role in helping state and local election officials evaluate which features provide the greatest accessibility, usability, and independence.
Whether you are an experienced voter or are simply interested in learning more about accessible voting technology, your participation can help strengthen the voting process for blind people throughout the Commonwealth for years to come. There is a location near you from which you can choose.
Each Vendor Fair will be open for three hours, and you are welcome to arrive at any time during the event.
We encourage everyone who values equal access to the ballot box to attend, explore the available technology, and make your voice heard. Together, we can help ensure that every blind voter in Massachusetts has the opportunity to vote privately, independently, and with confidence.
