The work we do is important, but the way we undertake that work together is
what gives our movement its enduring strength. One example worth celebrating
this week is the ninetieth anniversary of the Randolph-Sheppard Act-a
federal law that we have shaped, protected, and helped to improve over the
decades. While our work continues to evolve this federal law to provide
contemporary benefit to blind businesses, we are also in the middle of one
of the most outrageous violations of the law to date. It is a clear
demonstration of why we have the Federation and how our working together
helps blind people raise expectations.
