Disability ReFramed: Celebrating Our Childhood on TV

THURSDAY, JUNE 25, 2026, 5:30-8 PM

IN-PERSON & VIRTUAL

GBH STUDIOS, ONE GUEST STREET, BRIGHTON, MA

>From ZOOM and Sesame Street to ARTHUR and Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, public television has helped generations of children see themselves reflected on screen.

Join us for Disability ReFramed: Celebrating Our Childhood on TV, featuring disability rights activist and author Emily Ladau and violinist Adrian Anantawan. Together, they'll discuss the role representation played during their formative years and why inclusive storytelling continues to matter today.

The event will also celebrate the launch of the AAPB Special Collection: Representing Children with Disabilities on Public Television.

Join us before the event for a light reception and a chance to explore highlights from the collection. Attend in-person or virtually.
