Here are the February parent division notes.

February Parent Division Meeting Notes:

 

Call to order:

The meeting was called to order on February 19, 2026, at 6:03 P.M. The
people who were in attendance were Ellen Bartelt, Youm Wen Ly, Hai Wen Ly,
Stephanie Valdes, Katie Sevier, and Dana Lynn. Hai led everyone in the NFB
pledge.

 

State Convention:

The parent division meeting will take place March 27, at 5:30 P.M. The
meeting will follow after Friday's nights general session.

 

Secretary Report:

The meeting notes from November and January were approved. There were not
any changes that needed to be made to the notes.

 

Treasury Report:

There is currently 180.25 dollars in the parent division Treasury. Thirty
dollars have been paid in division dues. 

 

Goals for 2026:

There are goals that have been brainstormed for the upcoming year. The goals
will be discussed during our in-person meeting during state convention. The
division wants to work on outreach and bringing in new members. We would
also like to have an in-person event for families to come together to meet
each other and share resources.

 

BELL Program:

Stephanie is still looking for a location for this year's BELL program. The
center where the program was last year is already booked for the first two
weeks in August. People have been reaching out to universities to see if we
can have a residential program. Ellen is going to look into what it would
cost to have the BELL program at a rented house.

 

Meeting Ending:

The meeting ended at 6:45 P.M. Our next meeting will take place in person
during state convention.
