Hello everyone!
I just wanted to take a moment to share how wonderful this past State Convention weekend was. It truly felt like one of the best we’ve had—from the hotel and staff, to the amazing food, to how smoothly everything was set up. It had a slightly different feel from past years, more in line with the National Convention (just on a smaller scale), and it really worked!
I especially want to give a warm welcome to our new members who joined us for the first time—Lindell Cooks, Wesley Taylor, Joshua Nowak, and Kendall Valentine. We’re so glad you were part of the experience! And to those who joined via Zoom, I hope you had a great and engaging experience as well.
A huge thank you to Kristina Constant for all the delicious baked goods she made and generously donated as auction items—they were truly appreciated! And of course, I can’t forget to mention all of our Cambridge chapter members who attended. It’s always so special spending the weekend together!
While I was, of course, a bit disappointed to lose my board seat, I want to sincerely congratulate Stephanie Valdes on being elected to that position. Wishing you all the best in the role!
Lastly, just a reminder that our April chapter meeting will be held on April 13—same place, same time. This is an important election meeting, as all officer positions will be up for reelection for a two-year term, including President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Board Member Liaison. I would also like to share that I would truly love the opportunity to continue serving as your Chapter President for the next two years, and I would be very grateful for your support and vote.
I hope to see you all there!
Sincerely,
Shirley Dorris
President, Cambridge chapter NFB/MA
