Subject: [Massachusetts-NFB] Let's help President Riccobono get the message across to the Department of Justice - Send in your testimonials!

Hello, Federation friends.

Last night at the Cambridge Chapter meeting, we listened to the latest Presidential Release highlighting the most recent delay in the implementation of the Title II Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations around state and local government website accessibility. To learn about this most recent delay, please read <https://nfb.org/resources/publications-and-media/braille-monitor/early-access-articles/justice-department-delays> this article from Chris Danielsen.

President Riccobono urged members to submit their stories of encountering barriers to website accessibility as written or voice messages. He also said that chapter members should help each other submit stories if necessary. Although I'm typically one of the quieter chapter members, his message really hit home.

After discussion with Shirley this morning, I am emailing to offer to help anyone who wants to submit a story but isn’t comfortable writing it down. If you want to submit a story on your own, there are a few ways to do it:

* Call the main NFB number at (410) 659-9314, and extension 2244, their podcast line. Leave a voicemail telling your story.

* Email your story in written form or as an attached audio file to <mailto:story at nfb.org> story at nfb.org.

These personal stories are powerful testimonials, and President Riccobono is absolutely right to ask us to help him convey to the Department of Justice that there should be no further delays in imposing these regulations!

We’ve received a real call to action here, so send in those stories! I’m happy to help anyone who wants to write their story but would like help. If you’d like me to work on it with you, please email me at <mailto:jen10514 at gmail.com> jen10514 at gmail.com.

Warm regards to you all,

Jen
