She was born at the Torrejón Air Base in Madrid, Spain in 1974.<br><br>Penny was a kind-hearted person who always saw the positive in people and life. She faced her cancer diagnosis with remarkable resilience and unwavering positivity. A strong advocate for children with disabilities, Penny dedicated many years of her life working at the Department of Education for the State of New Hampshire. Penny loved her work family, office shenanigans, and lived for their team meetings. Penny would say in the morning, "It is going to be a great day!"<br><br>Penny had many dedicated roles for the National Federation of the Blind. She brought warmth, a listening ear, and help to parents who faced obstacles. Encouraging them with her always positive approach. Her tireless efforts to blind children and parents was honored with the Twig Award.<br><br>She also enjoyed weekends "upta camp" in Maine with her cousins, where a good water fight could pop off at a moment's notice. Penny often had sister weekends having meals, playing games, and laughing.<br><br>Penny cherished her family, friends, and the joy of sharing meals with loved ones. She found immense happiness in spending time with those she cared about.
