<div dir="ltr">Hi everyone - see below for an update on the TCIEA from the national legislative team. Let's continue our advocacy efforts on this! If you need any help or instructions, please contact me. Thanks.<div><br></div><div><p class="MsoNormal">Dear Federation Family,<u></u><u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"><u></u> <u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal">We wanted to provide you with an update on our advocacy efforts around the Transformation to Competitive Integrated Employment Act (TCIEA) getting into the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA). Congress’ original plan as mentioned in one of our legislative alerts was to get it pushed through very quickly after the Thanksgiving recess without the TCIEA included. On the Senate side specifically, they hoped to do it through unanimous consent, but due to our advocacy, Senator Casey (Pennsylvania) has put a hold on the legislation until the TCIEA is placed back in the Workforce package and we have reliable sources he is continued to remain committed to this demand.<u></u><u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"><u></u> <u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal">So there is still a chance we could make this happen, but the end of the 118^th Congress is rapidly approaching. It’s reported their last scheduled day is Friday December 20 making it not impossible, but if we continue our work, we might have a shot.<u></u><u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"><u></u> <u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal">We greatly appreciate your great advocacy on this effort and if there’s any continued updates, we’ll let you know as soon as possible.<u></u><u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"><u></u> <u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal">Justin</p></div></div>
