Ms. Hairston is a Civil Rights and Disability Rights Advocate and is the author of the book \u201cBlind Ambition\u201d. Also, she is a proud graduate of a Historically Black College and University, North Carolina Central University. In addition, the program will feature remarks from Dr. Sislena Ledbetter who serves as the Chairwoman of the United States Health Promoting Campuses Network, Associate Vice-President of Counseling, Health and Well Being at Western Washington University and is a graduate of North Carolina Central University as well. She will discuss the importance of HBCUs and the prominent women who graduated from these prestigious institutions. The program will be facilitated by Sabrina Rice chairwoman of the HBCU Committee and graduate of North Carolina A&T University.
