Here is the message that I have sent to our National office\u2026<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif'>It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Annette Davis Harris, a beloved member of the National Federation of the Blind of Massachusetts, on the morning of Sunday, May 25, 2025.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif'>Annette had been a dedicated member of our Greater Springfield Chapter since the early 1990s. Over the decades, she made countless contributions to the NFB and worked tirelessly to improve the lives of blind people. Just after attending our state convention this year\u2014an event she was thrilled to be a part of in Springfield\u2014Annette was hospitalized following a heart attack.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif'>Her service to our community was extensive and deeply valued. She served as a member-at-large for several years, held a position as a trustee, and was a member of the nominating committee. She was also the creative force behind our chapter\u2019s annual craft fair fundraiser, a tradition that continues to this day thanks to her vision and dedication. We were all shocked because we thought she was mending she kept telling us I will come to the walk a thon and to the nfb, I miss everyone. She was an angel at heart and a very productive and active member throughout the years at our chapter. She was able to attend the state convention this year in Springfield and she was so pleased with out convention. We will miss her immensely. Today we dedicated out walk a thon to her.
