The National Federation of the Blind has no involvement in this research, but we believe that it may contribute to our research mission.<br><br><o:p></o:p></p><h2>Research Title: Constructing the Harm Model for People with Disability in Social VR<o:p></o:p></h2><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:12.0pt'>Being conducted by: Virginia Tech University, with funding from NSF<br><br><o:p></o:p></p><h2>Purpose of the Study<o:p></o:p></h2><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:12.0pt'>The purpose of this study is to understand how people with disabilities (PWD) experience and perceive disability-related harassment in social virtual reality (VR) environments, and to design effective protection mechanisms tailored to their needs.<br><br><o:p></o:p></p><h2>Role of the Participants and Anticipated Length of the Study <o:p></o:p></h2><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:12.0pt'>Participants will complete an online survey reflecting on their harassment experiences in social VR.<br><br>The survey will take approximately 30-60 minutes to complete.<br><br><o:p></o:p></p><h2>Proposed Participant Compensation<o:p></o:p></h2><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:12.0pt'>Yes, Participants will receive a $10 compensation upon completing the survey.
