The people who were in attendance were Ellen Bartelt, John Wetcel, Youme Nguyen Ly, Hai Nguyen Ly, Stephanie Valdes, Dana Lynn Stockwood and Jen Bose. Stephanie led everyone on the NFB pledge.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>Secretary Report:<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>The members approved the secretary report. There needs to be some spelling corrections to the spellings of some of the names. Ellen will resend the March notes out with the spelling corrections.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>Goals:<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>The goals were read aloud to the membership. Stephanie has a contact at Perkins to help grow membership. There will be a day at the capital in June. During the capital meetings members can ask congress members if they are interested in a parent bill. Stephanie’s job has materials that can be used for IEP training. There was a lot of discussion about creating a flyer to share with families and organizations.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>Action Items:<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>Stephanie will let members know when Perkins is hosting family events.
