Accessible Voting Equipment Vendor Fairs Are Coming This August <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>The Massachusetts Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth is inviting blind, low vision, and voters with all disabilities to participate in a series of Accessible Voting Equipment Vendor Fairs taking place across Massachusetts this August. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of accessible voting in our state. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>Massachusetts is beginning the process of selecting the next generation of accessible voting equipment. Before any decisions are made, election officials want to hear directly from the people who rely on these systems to cast a private, independent, and accessible ballot. Your experience and perspective can help ensure that future voting technology better meets the needs of blind and low vision voters. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>At each fair, voting equipment vendors will demonstrate their accessible systems, answer questions, and invite participants to test the equipment firsthand. Your feedback will play an important role in helping state and local election officials evaluate which features provide the greatest accessibility, usability, and independence. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>Whether you are an experienced voter or are simply interested in learning more about accessible voting technology, your participation can help strengthen the voting process for blind people throughout the Commonwealth for years to come.
