Hello all,
 
The next meeting of the At Large Chapter will be on Tuesday, September 20.
The National Presidential Release starts at 7:30 and the meeting begins at
8:00. For your reference the call in number is 641 715-3272.  The access
code 720125.
 
Many thanks to Michelle Fouche for taking the minutes since our secretary
was at the beach.

Minutes of the At Large NFB Chapter for August 16, 2016

Presidential release was played at 7:30 PM

Meeting started at 8 PM

Approximately 15 people attended the meeting

Crab feast was a success, thanks to all that attended.

Announcements: 
 
Possibilities Fair will take place on August 18 at BISM which is located at
3345 Washington Blvd.  NFB MD will have a table at the fair.  We will be
selling tickets for the Blind Site movie.  Make sure you stop by and visit
the table since goodies will be handed out.

Next we discussed the Blind Site movie which will be a fundraiser that is
going to be held on Saturday, September 24 at the NF B Center.  Tickets are
$10 and you can pay on Pay Pal or at the door.  Members also volunteered to
sell tickets to friends, etc.  The movie will also be shown in Hagerstown on
October 12.

Share and discuss the upcoming 50th State Convention which will be held
October 28 through October 30 at the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at
Camden Yards hotel.  
 
We discussed acronyms and what they meant because people would hear at the
State Convention.  For instance; what is PAC?  What is BELL?  We also
discussed why the organization is called National Federation OF the Blind
not FOR the Blind.  We also discussed why the mantra of the NFB, "Live the
Life You Want" is so powerful.
