[MD-AtLarge] Meeting reminder and minutes

Hello all,

 

Our summer break is over.  The next meeting of the MD At Large chapter will
be on Tuesday, August 21.  We will be discussing some exciting fundraisers,
Maryland Day at the Jernigan Institute, the upcoming NFBMD State convention,
and more.  The National President's message begins at 7:30 pm followed by
the meeting at 8 pm.  Remember, the call in number is 641-715-3272.  The
access code is 720125.  We look forward to hearing from everyone again.

At Large Chapter Meeting Minutes for June 19, 2018.

 

Meeting was started at 8 PM by Margarete Woods, President. 

Approximately 15 members on the call. 

The Guest speaker tonight was Debbie Brown, Vice President of NFB MD and the
President of the Sligo Creek chapter. 

She read an article called Reflection from our members which can be found in
Imagineering Our Future email Newsletter.  This newsletter has been around 5
to 6 years.

Newsline was discussed.  It is an NFB service that allows you to access
newspapers and magazines.

On June 14th NFBMD held a rally to protest not having a secret ballot.

We voted on not having a meeting in July which was approved. 

The topic of Resolutions was discussed.  They are policy statements of the
NFB written by members. They become NFB policies when the convention passes
them.
