Hello all,
It is time for us to contact our delegates and senators to ask them to
support our legislative agenda. To refresh your memory, please read the
fact sheets at www.nfbmd.org <http://www.nfbmd.org> under current advocacy
issues.
In H.B. 1088 we are asking for vendor penalties for selling inaccessible
products to the State. In S.B. 482 we are asking the General Assembly to
establish a remote access information service for deaf-blind individuals.
We are not writing to the Senate about procurement because they already
passed S.B. 286. We will provide information on the House bill to establish

The National Federation of the Blind of Maryland knows that blindness is not
the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
