Hi All!
Happy New Year. The next meeting of the At Large Chapter will be tomorrow
evening, January 15. The National President's Message begins at 7:30 and the
meeting will be from 8pm-9pm. Our meetings happen snow or shine!
Since this is the first of the new year, we will be planning for future
meetings and really need your input. The call in number is 641-715-3272.
The access code is 720-125. How many minutes have you read in January? Are
you part of the LBPH Challenge? You could be winning prizes. Call in to the
meeting to find out more.

At Large Chapter Meeting Minutes for December 18, 2018
The presidential release was played at 7:30
The meeting was started at 8 Pm by Margarete Woods, President
There were approximately 10 members on the call
Tonight's guest speaker is Ellen Ringlein. She runs the NFB Independence
Market. Ellen explained her history of her vision loss and how she found
the National Federation of the Blind.
The Independence Market is opened Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 11:30
and then from 1:00 to 4:30
The Independence Market is also known as the NFB Store.
The market sells and shares information with blind individuals. The store
sells canes, tools for writing braille, writing guides, low vision items,
talking products, independent living items for the kitchen, medical
equipment, basic products such as bump dots, sock locks, sewing items, the
pen friend, games in braille, large print, and tactile and etc.
