Hello All! 

 

The next meeting of the At Large chapter will be on Tuesday, November 19.
Jerry Price from the Library for the Blind will discuss high tech and low
tech items so you can get your gift list ready for the holidays! Remember
the national president's message begins at 7:30, followed by the meeting
from 8-9pm. For your convenience the call in number is 605-313-4818. The
access code is 720-125. Look forward to talking to you tomorrow evening.

At Large Chapter Meeting Minutes for October 15, 2019 

 

The Presidential Release started at 7:30 PM 

The meeting was started at 8:00 PM by Margarete Woods, President 

Approximately 15 members on the call 

The NFB Pledge was recited 

 

October is Meet the Blind Month and the following activities were done by
the chapter. 

A movie was shown in Hagerstown to the BISM Hagerstown Support Group.

A day at the movies fund raiser took place on October 12th in Baltimore.

Senior Center presentation was given in Baltimore.

 

Sharon mentioned that the television show This Is Us has a blind actor
playing a blind character on the show. The NFB is consulting with the show.

 

State convention details were given out.

 

Tonight's guest speaker is Chris Danielson, who is a member of the NFB, and
as well, he works for them in public relations dealing with the media. He
sits on the board of the greater Baltimore chapter. He spoke about White
Cane Awareness Day.  He also talked about traveling as a blind person.
