All,

I am very sad to share that Linda Wellman passed away unexpectedly on

blindness training at the Colorado Center for the Blind in early 2022. A
memorial service will be held in the spring. Please keep Linda and her
family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

Below is Linda's obituary.

Pronouns: she, her, hers

The National Federation of the Blind of Maryland knows that blindness is not
the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
