[MD-AtLarge] Meeting Reminder and Minutes

Hello All,
You will not want to miss this month's meeting on Tuesday, October 18. We
will be talking about our fundraiser, the state convention, and hearing
from an interesting guest speaker from Accessible Pharmacy. The national
president's message begins at 7:30pm, followed by the meeting from 8-9pm.
For your convenience, the call-in number is 339 209 4083. Mark your
calendar and come to the meeting. Read the following minutes from the
September meeting below.

NFB At Large Chapter Meeting Minutes for September 20, 2022

The Presidential Release was played at 7:30 PM.
The Meeting was started at 8:00 PM by Marguerite Woods, President.
Round Robin took place. Everyone announced themselves, said where they are
located in the state, and answered the question what they like about fall.
Approximately 20 members on the call.
Charles led Harvey in the NFB pledge.
September birthdays were celebrated. Members celebrating a birthday in
September were Latonya, Henry, Millie, Wendy, Jannis, and Anthony.

Marguerite announced the fundraiser for the At Large chapter taking place
on October 22nd at 7 PM. It will be a movie and discussion. It will be
virtual.

Marguerite gave an update about Sharon’s health condition.
Marguerite reminded everyone that October is Blind Equality Achievement
Month.

Tonight’s guest speaker is Donald Porterfield from Arizona. He is a
National NFB board member. He is Maryland’s representative for our state
convention. He is a criminal lawyer. His wife Amy also spoke. They like to
travel and explore various places.

The meeting adjourned at 9:00 PM.
