[MD-AtLarge] Meeting Reminder and Minutes

Hello All,

The next meeting of the At Large chapter is tonight, January 17. The
National Presidents Message begins at 7:30 followed by the meeting from
8-9pm. The calling number is 339-209-4083. We have lots to discuss
including Annapolis and Washington DC issues. This is the first meeting of
the year, so we need everyone to come.

Here are the minutes from December's meeting.

NFBMD At Large Chapter Meeting Minutes for December 20, 2022



The Presidential Release was played at 7:30 Pm.

The meeting was started at 8:00 PM by Marguerite Woods, President.

Round robin took place. Everyone announce themselves, said where they were
in the state, and answered the question what your favorite recipe is to
make or dish to eat during the holiday season.

Approximately 20 members on the call.

Charles led Alice in the NFB pledge.



Treasure’s report given by Sharon Maneki

Opening Balance: $635.94

Income:

$300.00 towards plane ticket

Snacks $780.00

Dues: $142.61

Movie Night: $498.75

Donation: $45.00



Expenses:

$443.97 (Plane Ticket)

$101.80 Get Well Gift

$353.68 Onsolve

$266.45 Snacks



Ending Balance $1,236.40



A Motion was made to accept the treasurer’s report. It was seconded and
approved.



Sharon talked about the week in Annapolis. There will be further discussion
at January’s meeting. She also mentioned Washington seminar.



Sharon announced the passing of Scott LaBarre. They have created the Scot
LaBarre Leadership and Justice Scholarship. Sharon made a motion to donate
$100 to the Scott LaBarre Leadership and justice Scholarship. This motion
was seconded and approved.



Marguerite announced the senior division call that will take place on
February 15, 2023, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. The topic is on giving up driving.



Marguerite shared that Judy Nelson passed her nursing certificate.



Nominating Committee Report:

Debbie was the chairperson and Alice, and Don were committee members. The
nominating report was given by Debbie. A motion was made. It was seconded
and approved.



Members elected were Marguerite Woods, President, Sondra Burchette, Vice
President, Sharon Maneki, Treasurer, Danielle Earl, secretary, Judy Nelson,
Board Member, and Brawyn Evans, board member.



The meeting adjourned at 9:00 PM.
