[MD-AtLarge] Meeting Reminder and Minutes

Hello All,
The next meeting of the At Large Chapter will be tomorrow, Tuesday Mar 19.
The National President's message begins at 7:30pm, followed by the meeting
from 8pm to 9pm. Our guest speaker will be Denise Brown, President of the
Philadelphia Chapter of the NFB of Pennsylvania. Some of you may have met
her at the State Convention. If you didn't, here is your chance.
Below are the minutes for January and for our in-person meeting in
February.

NFBMD At Large Chapter Meeting Minutes for January 16, 2024
The Presidential Release was played at 7:30 PM.
The meeting was started at 8:00 PM by Marguerite Woods, President.
The round robin took place. Everyone announced themselves, stated where
they are located in the state, and answered the question how did you first
get introduced to the NFB?
There were approximately 15 members on the call.
Charles led Judy in the NFB pledge.
Marguerite asked the question; what organization do you think the NFB is?
Members answered with the following words: civic organization, family
organization, advocacy, does not give up, creates opportunities and
equality for blind individuals, governed and ran by blind people, and an
educating organization.
Marguerite asked the question; what does the white cane mean to you?
Members answered with the following words: freedom, independence, and
liberating.
The chapter made Brian Holly a member.
Marguerite talked about the state convention, Annapolis day, and Washington
seminar.
The meeting adjourned at 9:00 PM.

NFBMD At Large Chapter Meeting Minutes for February 17, 2024
The meeting was started at 7:15 AM by Marguerite Woods, President.
This meeting was held at the State Convention in person.
The round robin took place. Everyone announced themselves, stated where
they are located in the state, and answered the question what did they like
so far about state convention?
There were approximately 20 members in the room.
Marguerite made some announcements about the State Convention, as well as
answered some questions too. She also asked people to give her their
banquet ticket if they wish to sit with the At Large Chapter. Candy sales
also took place.
Members had a chance to socialize with one another.
The meeting adjourned at 8:15 AM.
