Hello all.
If you were getting the $15,000 property tax exemption, you do not have to
take any action. Your Jully property tax bill will automatically reflect
the raise to $40,000 that was granted by the governor and general
assembly this year.
If you need to apply for the property tax exemption go to
https://dat.maryland.gov/SDAT%20Forms/3-2025_rp_form_revisions/Blind%20Persons%20Exemption%20Application%203-25.pdf
Follow
the directions and send it to the appropriate assessment office based on
the county where you live. Your doctor must fill some of this out and your
name must be on the deed of ownership for your house.
Good luck,

The National Federation of the Blind of Maryland knows that blindness is
not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Everyday we raise
the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
