In honor of Woman’s History Month, Judy Rasmussen Secretary of the NFBMD will talk about how she lives the life she wants. Read the February minutes below. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>At Large Chapter Meeting Minutes for February 19, 2019<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The Presidential Release was played at 7:30 PM <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The Meeting was started at 8 PM by Margarete Woods, president <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>There were approximately 15 members on the call <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The NFB pledge was said by all members<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Sharon mentioned that there was a NFB National Constitution, a State Constitution, and a Chapter Constitution. The state and chapter constitution can be found on the NFB MD website and the National constitution can be found on the NFB National website.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The members discussed an article written by Peggy Chung called Blind Jim.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>A moment of silence was taken for Larry Richardson and Rachael Olivera who passed away in the last couple of weeks.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Update on Legislation was given:<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>1. First hearing about voting with one system took place in Annapolis and they understood the message that the NFB MD brought to the hearing on this matter <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>2. Washington Seminar took place at the end of January. Maryland had a reception and Senator Van Hollen and Congressman Sarbanes attended.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Ronza gave a few words during this call. She is the president of the state of Maryland. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Tonight’s guest speaker is Clifford Williams from the Virgin Islands. He spoke about how attitude is your key to success. He spoke about his training that he received from Blind Industries and Services of Maryland.
